Chef tips
For a rich, deep sauce, ensure you brown the meat thoroughly before adding the tomatoes, and add a splash of pasta water for a silky, smooth texture. For a nutritional boost, finely grate carrots and courgettes into the sauce; kids love the sweetness and it thickens it perfectly. For gluten-free, use rice or corn pasta.
