Chef tips

For a super crispy, golden crust, use a fork to rake small ridges across the mashed potato layer before baking. Those little peaks will get incredibly crunchy and golden-brown in the oven. For a sweet and colorful twist, try swapping half the potatoes for sweet potatoes. Kids love helping to mash the veggies into a smooth, vibrant puree before you assemble the pie layers.
