1Chop an apple or process it in a food processor, and save the rest for another mug cake.
2In a bowl, mix all the dry ingredients together with the chopped apple.
3Add the oil, vinegar and vanilla extract at different points on the dry mixture.
4Pour the water over the mixture and mix gently until bubbles start to pop.
5Transfer the mixture to a greased mug, and push it gently.
6Heat in the microwave on high power for 90 seconds to 2 minutes, and check after 90 seconds.
7Let it cool for a minute, then turn out onto a plate.
8Add melted peanut butter, chopped nuts, and cinnamon sugar or maple syrup.
